Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Despite advancements in stent technology, such as the appearance drug-eluting stents, restenosis remains a common post-procedure complication and is associated with higher morbimortality. These patients frequently need repeat revascularisation pose therapeutic challenge. Purpose This study aims to characterize if it possible identify clinical predictors restenosis. Methods We retrospectively observed population 9815 (D) admitted acute coronary syndrome (ACS) divided them into two groups: those who had (D1), did not (D2). then compared both groups regarding age, sex, personal history smoking (both current or former smokers), hypertension, dyslipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, stroke/TIA, chronic kidney disease location. Results D1 consisted 2,9% population. Both similar age (D1: 67,95±10,35 years vs. D2: 68,56±11,57years) were predominantly male sex (75,9% 73,3%). significantly prevalence (3,1% vs 2,7%, p=0,008; odds ratio: 1,183, 95% CI [1,044;1,340]); dyslipidaemia (72,4% 59,0%, p<0,001; 1,821, [1,586;2,092]); hypertension (86,4% 80,8%, 1,507, [1,259;1,805]); (38,1% 33,6%, p=0,003; 1,215, [1,069;1,381]); (12,1% 10,0%, ratio 1,235, [1,020;1,495]) than D2. When comparing location, was more right artery (4,5% 2,3%, 2,016, [1,775;2,289]), no significant differences relation other segments. There statistically relevant stroke/TIA between groups. Conclusions In ACS, seems be diabetes, disease. Right stenting also rate when revascularised characteristics could help predict which are at risk closer monitoring, potentially improving outcomes. Further developing score these interest.

Predictors of restenosis after coronary stent implantation.

OBJECTIVES We sought to determine predictors of restenosis after coronary stenting (CS) in a consecutive series of patients. BACKGROUND Although stenting in highly selected patient groups reduces restenosis, the results of stenting in a heterogeneous patient group and the effects of clinical and procedural factors on stent restenosis are currently unclear. METHODS We analyzed the 6-month an...

In Stent Restenosis Predictors after Carotid Artery Stenting

Purpose. The long-term efficacy of carotid artery stenting is debated. Predictors of stent restenosis are not fully investigated. Our aim was to assess the incidence of long term restenosis after CAS and to identify some predictors of restenosis. Methods. We retrospectively selected 189 treated patients and we obtained the survival Kaplan-Meier curves for overall survival, for freedom from stro...

Predictors of diffuse and aggressive intra-stent restenosis.

OBJECTIVES This study was performed to investigate the causes of diffuse and aggressive intra-stent restenosis. BACKGROUND Although restenosis is usually considered to be a dichotomous variable, there is clinical relevance to the severity of restenosis. It is not known which variables are predictive of diffuse or aggressive intra-stent restenosis. METHODS A consecutive series of 456 coronar...

Angiographic and intravascular ultrasound predictors of in-stent restenosis.

OBJECTIVES This study was performed to determine predictors of in-stent restenosis from a high volume, single-center practice. BACKGROUND Intracoronary stents have been shown to reduce the restenosis rate as compared with balloon angioplasty, but in-stent restenosis continues to be an important clinical problem. METHODS Between April 1993 and March 1997, 1,706 patients with 2,343 lesions we...

Incidence and predictors of recurrent restenosis following implantation of drug-eluting stents for in-stent restenosis.

OBJECTIVES We investigated the incidence and predictors of recurrent restenosis after drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation for in-stent restenosis (ISR) in routine clinical practice. BACKGROUND Although DESs have been increasingly used for treatment of ISR, little is known about the predictors of DES failure. METHODS We determined the incidence of recurrent restenosis and major adverse car...
